George Moore

I'm George Moore. I've spent more than twenty-five years building software in healthcare, life sciences, and education, and more than fifteen of them as a chief technology officer. I was CTO at Elsevier's Health Sciences division, Cengage, and Signant Health, and today I'm Chief Technology and Information Officer at CareMetx. Before that I ran product development at Thomson Reuters Healthcare and Liquent. Most of those businesses were private-equity backed, and every one involved rebuilding a technology organization while the business itself was changing shape.

At Elsevier I led the build of ClinicalKey, a medical search engine for clinicians that grew to $230 million in recurring revenue. At Cengage I helped turn a legacy publisher coming out of bankruptcy into a digital products company. Digital went from under 10 percent of revenue to over 90 percent, and we launched the first subscription model for college course materials, which reached two million users in eighteen months. At CareMetx I built the company's first technology organization and launched the industry's first hub services network platform.

I've managed teams of over a thousand people and budgets up to $250 million. I was named Boston CIO of the Year in 2019.
